Removing five pages from a 500-page document? Deletion is your tool. Keeping five pages out of 500? Use extract pages instead, because clicking 495 times to delete everything else is how mistakes happen. If you're deleting more than half the PDF, consider whether extraction would be faster.

Selections are applied in one pass, so numbering cannot trip you up

You select by the position you see in the viewer, and every page you tick is removed together in a single pass against the original numbering. That matters because the obvious alternative — deleting one page, watching everything renumber, then deleting the next — is exactly how people remove the wrong page. Note that these are viewer positions, not printed folio numbers: a report whose printed page 1 sits behind a cover will be off by one if you go by what is printed on the page.

Limits: file size, browser memory, and what stays linked

Files up to 100 MB per upload; the practical ceiling depends on your device's available RAM. The tool runs entirely in your browser, so the process is as fast as your machine can rebuild the PDF — typically seconds for a few hundred pages. Bookmarks and internal links pointing to deleted pages are not automatically cleaned up; they become dangling references. And note what deletion is not: it removes whole pages. If the material you want gone is a name or a figure sitting inside a page you need to keep, redaction is the right tool, since it strips the content while leaving the page in place.
