About this tool

Sign a PDF without printing it

Draw your signature with a mouse or finger, type it in a script font, or upload a photo of your signature — then drop it onto the page, position and size it, and download the signed PDF. Optionally stamp today’s date next to it. No printing, scanning or account needed, and it all runs in your browser: your document and signature never get uploaded.

How to use the Sign PDF

Takes about a minute. No signup, no download, your data stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Sign PDF.

Is this a legally binding e-signature?

It places a visible signature image onto the PDF, which is fine for most everyday agreements, forms and approvals. For signatures that must meet specific legal standards (eIDAS, ESIGN, cryptographic/certificate-based signing), use a dedicated e-signature service.

Does my document get uploaded?

No. The signature is embedded into the PDF entirely in your browser. Neither your document nor your signature is uploaded anywhere.

How do I create the signature?

Three ways: draw it with your mouse/finger, type your name in a handwriting-style font, or upload an image of your signature (a transparent PNG looks best).

Can I choose where the signature goes?

Yes. Pick the page, choose a position from a 3×3 grid (corners, edges or centre), and set the size as a percentage of the page width. You can also stamp today’s date beside it.

Can I sign more than one page?

Each run places the signature on the page you select. To sign several pages, run the tool again for each one (it re-downloads the updated PDF each time).
