Rotate Pages Permanently, Not Just in the Viewer

PDF viewers usually have a rotate button — but it only changes what you see. Close the file and it opens sideways again. Everyone else sees it sideways too. That's because rotation in a viewer is temporary, stored in your session only, not in the file itself. Every PDF page carries a hidden /Rotate metadata entry that tells every viewer which direction is "up." This tool writes that value into your file, so the rotation sticks — whether you open it next week or share it with a colleague.

Why Rotation Is Lossless (and Fast)

Rotating a PDF is not like rotating an image. The page content itself never gets re-drawn or re-compressed — the pixels stay exactly as they are. Only the orientation flag changes. That's why a rotated PDF loses zero quality, uses the same file size, and takes milliseconds. Compare that to image rotation, which resamples pixels and always causes some quality loss. For scanned documents or PDFs pulled from printers in the wrong orientation, this is a genuinely reassuring fact: fix the direction without any cost.

Rotate Individual Pages or Everything at Once

Drop your PDF and you'll see a thumbnail grid. Click the ↻ icon on any page to rotate it 90° right, or ↺ to spin it 90° left. For bulk operations — a batch scanned partly sideways — use the toolbar buttons to rotate all pages or just your selected pages by 90°, 180°, or 270°. Mixed orientations are handled perfectly because rotation is applied per page, not to the whole document. If pages 1–3 are upright and pages 4–5 came out landscape, you rotate only what needs it.

Honest Limits and What Stays Beyond This Tool

Encrypted PDFs are fully supported — you'll be prompted for a password. Files up to 100 MB work without slowdown, and everything runs in your browser, never uploaded. One real limit: 90-degree rotation only. If a page was scanned a few degrees crooked (10° skew, for example), rotation won't fix that — you'd need deskewing, which is a different operation.
