The output is fully readable with no password protection. You can open, copy, print, and share it without re-entering the password.

This tool removes user passwords, not permission restrictions

A PDF can be locked two ways. A user password encrypts the entire document — without it, you cannot open or read the file at all. An owner password leaves the file readable but restricts printing, copying, and editing. Most "locked" PDFs (bank statements, e-books, reports) use the second kind.

This tool removes the first kind: the encryption sealing the file. You must already be able to open the PDF to use it.

You must know the correct password — this is not a password cracker

To unlock your PDF, enter the current password correctly. If wrong, you will see: "Wrong password, or this PDF isn't encrypted." This tool cannot guess, crack, or bypass passwords. Use it only on documents you own or have permission to unlock — for instance, when your PDF software cannot handle encryption, or to stop typing the same password repeatedly.

Limits: 100 MB maximum file size; no password recovery possible

Your PDF must be under 100 MB. Once unlocked and downloaded, there is no recovery if you forget the original password. Save the original file safely before unlocking a copy. For adding passwords, see Protect PDF. To shrink files before sending, try Compress PDF.
