Four batch operations, one setting each

Apply one operation to as many PDFs as you need in a single run. Everything processes in your browser — nothing uploads anywhere.

• Compress — shrink file size by intelligently downsampling images. Text stays selectable. Three presets: high quality (barely visible loss), balanced (best trade-off), extreme (smallest, softer images).
• Page Numbers — stamp "3" or "3 of 12" on every page. Pick from six positions (top/bottom, left/center/right) and two formats.
• Protect — add the same password to all files at once. One setting, applied to every PDF in the batch.
• Unlock — remove a known password from locked PDFs. Try one password against the entire batch; any locked file without a match is skipped.

Practical ceiling: measured in device memory, not file count

No hard limit on the number of files, but your device's RAM is the real constraint. Files are processed sequentially — one at a time — so you never hold dozens of decoded PDFs at once. Instead, processed files stack up in memory until download. Twenty invoices (100 KB each) are trivial. Forty scanned documents at 50 MB each will max out your browser's available memory. When handling large files, split batches: process 10, download, then process the next 10. Results are identical; you're just respecting your machine's limits.

One corrupted PDF does not break the batch

Each file is wrapped in error handling. A password-protected PDF without a matching password is skipped — the batch keeps going. A corrupted file gets a clear error label and the rest continue processing. When finished, download a ZIP with every successful file and see a summary of what was skipped or failed. Nothing aborts.

Local processing: nothing leaves your browser

Every PDF is processed on your machine. Compression, page stamping, password operations — all happen in browser memory. Nothing uploads to a server. This matters for batches of documents you cannot or should not send elsewhere: medical records, financial statements, contracts, internal reports. For a single document, Compress PDF is the more direct route — same engine, without the batch queue in the way.
