Title Tag
The HTML element that sets a page's clickable headline in search results.
What is Title Tag?
A title tag is an HTML element that defines the title of a web page, shown as the clickable headline in search results and in the browser tab. It is one of the strongest on-page signals search engines use to understand a page's topic, so it should be unique, descriptive, and contain the main keyword. Titles that are too long get truncated in the SERP, so they are usually kept under about 60 characters.
