Cohort Retention
How many users from a starting group stay active over time.
What is Cohort Retention?
Cohort retention tracks how many users from a group that started at the same time remain active or paying over successive periods. Users are grouped into cohorts, often by sign-up month, and the percentage still active is measured at each later period. This reveals how well a product keeps users over time and helps distinguish healthy retention from churn masked by new-user growth.
