CAC

Average cost to acquire one new customer.

What is CAC?

CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) is the average amount a business spends to win a single new customer. It is calculated by dividing total sales and marketing costs over a period by the number of new customers gained in that period. CAC is central to SaaS economics and is often compared against customer lifetime value to judge whether growth is sustainable.
