Markup

Amount added to a product's cost to set its selling price.

What is Markup?

Markup is the amount added to the cost of a product or service to arrive at its selling price, often expressed as a percentage of the cost. It is calculated as the difference between selling price and cost, divided by the cost. Markup differs from margin, which expresses profit as a percentage of the selling price rather than the cost.
