BMI
A weight-for-height number used to screen for weight categories.
What is BMI?
BMI (Body Mass Index) is a single number calculated from a person's weight and height, used as a quick screening measure for underweight, healthy weight, overweight, and obesity. It is derived by dividing weight in kilograms by height in metres squared. BMI is a general population indicator and does not directly measure body fat or account for muscle, so it should be interpreted with other health information.
